The Balatonfüred Dockyard was lack of wood, but the formal foreign secretary called Endre Gáll mahogany was transported from Switzerland. Tabu, which was finally put on water in 1944, was built according to the original layout of the scheren which was made by the Swedish Benacsek.

Unfortunately the owner of the boat was involved the “gold boat affair”; he was sentenced. Tabu was saved from nationalization when a member of the crew received the boat, then in 1954 it got to be Endre Gáll's property again. He emigrated in 1956 so the boat was taken charge by his brother called Imre Gáll who is still in good health at the age of 97 – thanks for sailing.
